Paul Njoroge is a Canadian accountant who lost his wife Carolyne, three children Ryan (7), Kelly (4), and Rubi (9 months), and mother-in-law in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash on March 10, 2019. His entire immediate family was killed when the Boeing 737 MAX crashed six minutes after takeoff. His gut-wrenching testimony to the US Congress in 2019 helped galvanize support for aviation safety reform. He described returning to the crash site and finding only his daughter's small shoe.
